-EV 5641 on Sv 12A. (Was waiting for ASU1 when I saw it)
Anyway, my goal was ASU1, which was reported on 12A x-over 6A. Left home after lunch at 2pm. The morning was spent taking photos of the morning specials at Admiralty. Called up NWFB and KMB for directions. (I admit that I do not know how to get around well...) They directed me to take 118. 118... Terminus is at Island Resort. So took Green Minibus there. Chose a Wright B9TL (MT 695) instead an older bus (Think it is a trident). Reached Nam Cheong at 3:15pm. Whilst waiting, took photos of the MTR E500s. Saw a person with a big camera (Yes, BIG), standing in a corner near the taxi stands. (HK bus fans are anti-social). I continued waiting. Then, EV 5641 showed up (A sv 70 permer) S-shift. Suddenly, another person popped up from nowhere. He squatted in a spot near the Sv 18 berth, for... lets see... 5-10 mins, pointing his cam at the bus... 5 mins later... a group of people came, all using DSLRs, all ages around 15-20 yrs old. Some wearing uniforms.
Should tell you the bad things about HK bus fans, so you wont make a fool of yourself.
1. NEVER stand on the road to take photos! (HK bus fans love to do that)
2. Heard that they would curse you if you get in their way
3. They take you as invisible, no one would talk to you, even if they know that you share the same hobby. However, I am not sure if they would talk to you if you initiate. Seen many but none talked.
Around 4:25, WJ called me on my phone, using simon's HP. Was still at Nam Cheong, waiting for ASU1, but everyone else left... Something was wrong. So I walked to the bus stop to take Sv 212 to Mong Kok, you guessed it, to buy bus models... Talked to WJ for a while, asked him to call back, since it was quite a distance from Langham Place. Enjoyed a speedy B10TL ride, not like those horrible 98xx in Singapore :P.
Bought 2500 for WJ. Wandered for a while in Mong Kok, along Nathan Road. Dinner was at 7:30. It was only 5pm, where should I go? Thought of the 112 NWFB E500s. Since I had to go to North Point. So I took a Sv 2 (Some E500 B9) to So Uk. Bad luck, it was KMB's time. Took a LJ plated E500 trident back out. Reached North Point only at 7:35, jams along the way.
